The Redemption Solution
This page is dedicated to anyone who is without Christ, without hope, and without eternal life. Jesus Christ had you personally in mind when He went to the cross. Every sin that you have ever committed; past, present, or future was imputed to Him and then judged so that in this moment you can receive God’s very own eternal life.
He (God) made Him (Christ) who knew no sin (impeccable spotless lamb) to be sin (as a substitute for us), that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21
Eternal life is as close to you as your own soul. In your soul you have volition. The non-meritorious expression of that volition is called faith. The object of faith always has the merit. For eternal salvation, the object of faith is our Lord Jesus Christ.
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24
Wherever you are right now, eternal life is available to you.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. JOHN 3:16
In the privacy of your soul you have freedom. You are free to exercise your option for eternal life. You are free, therefore, at this moment to become the possessor of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
What God has Done for You
Jesus Christ received the imputation and judgment for all of your sins. The only exception is the sin of unbelief which is rejection of Jesus Christ.
He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. JOHN 3:18
No sin you will ever commit is too great for the plan of God.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died (as a substitute) for us. ROMANS 5:8
Fixing our eyes (concentrating) on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (Bible doctrine), who for the joy (divine happiness) set before Him endured the cross, despising (disregarding) the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (the Father). HEBREWS 12:2
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. JOHN 1:12
But these (Scriptures) have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God, and that believing you may have [eternal] life in His name. JOHN 20:31
And you shall know the truth (Bible doctrine) and the truth shall make you free. JOHN 8:32
He who believes in the Son (Jesus Christ) has eternal life; but he who does not obey (believe) the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. JOHN 3:36
The Issue
No works of any kind can be added to faith. It is faith plus nothing else.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy (He saved us), by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. TITUS 3:5
For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. ISAIAH 64:6
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of (from) yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. EPHESIANS 2:8-9
For we walk by (means of) faith, not by (means of) sight. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7
Your Option
Your attitude toward Christ determines your eternal future. There is only one way to salvation.
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. ACTS 4:12
I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. JOHN 14:6
He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 JOHN 5:12-13
He who believes in the Son (Jesus Christ) has eternal life; but he who does not [believe] the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. JOHN 3:36
He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. JOHN 3:18
To believe in Him means you have eternal life. To reject Him means eternal condemnation.
The Mechanics
Why is it so simple? It is simple because the work of salvation has already been accomplished on the cross. In the privacy and freedom of your soul, forming the sentences in thought only, speaking inaudibly, you can tell God the Father that you believe in Jesus Christ, and that is the moment of eternal life for you. You can believe in Jesus Christ; you can express your faith to God the Father right now. This faith is a private matter between you and God. God has provided His part of salvation—the Father sent the Son; the Son went to the cross. The Father imputed our sins to Christ on the cross and judged every one of them. The rest is up to you. You can either believe in Christ for eternal life or reject Him for eternal condemnation. The choice is yours.
The Results
At the very moment that you put faith alone in Christ alone, God provides everything you need to fulfill His perfect plan for your life. These things are not seen or felt; they are a free gift from God's matchless grace. You did nothing to earn or deserve any of them, and you can do nothing to lose any of them. No sin or failure can change God’s perfect eternal salvation package.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. JOHN 6:47
and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. JOHN 10:28
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live (eternally in Heaven) even if he (physically) dies." JOHN 11:25
